Group Blogs (for your projects)
This is a space for you to share your ideas and experiences about the process and products of your projects every month. The concrete information which you share about your project will help you and your classmates understand the tacit knowledge of how you designed your project, how you collected your data, etc. Here are some guidelines on what to share in Group Blogs:
Summary: By the end of every month , you will summarize the process of your projects and also your project plans for the next month in your blogs.
Project-related assignments: Please post your project-related assignments to your group blog for sharing by the required due dates.
Purpose of the monthly summaries:Your monthly summary summarizes the process of your project (what each of you have done, and what you have learned/changed) and also describes your group plans for the next month.
Reflecting on the past will help you to document your journey and gain the lessons and experience for the next task in your project. It also helps you to customize the general course work into your own personal development and your professional work. Planning the next task will give you a sense of direction of where to go in order to achieve your planned goals.
Guidance on how to write a monthly summary
At the beginning of the semester, you may share the background information about your project. For example, the title of your project,the members’ expertise and roles, how you plan to start this project, etc. While the project is going on, you may share with us the highlights of your group project. For example, what did you do this month? What are the challenges you had this month? And how did you deal with them? How do you think your learning this month can be applied in your professional life or how do you think it will affect your professional life? What are your plans for next month?
You can write a short memo about what you have gained from each assignment after you complete it, and then integrate your memos into your monthly summary.

Here are some videos of how to create and manage blogs. You can use other types of blogs such as Weebly, WordPress etc. However, you are highly recommended to use Blogger so that you can conveniently comment on each other’s blogs.

You can categorize and manage your blog. For example: you may create categories such as: project summary, project assignments, knowledge sharing (share articles, links, videos, etc.). You may add videos, pictures, links and PDF files to your blog.
